We are a Dutch family and we cruised with a few different cruise lines. This was our first Celebrity Cruise experience. We did the 14 day roundtrip Southampton to the Baltics, incl. St. Petersburg.

The first observation was that Celebrity Eclipse was a very modern ship. The design of the ships is great and the furniture is very special. The average age is much lower than on Holland America Line. Contrary to Holland America, the atmosphere in the public areas is very cosy, until the middle of the night.

Service and food were really great, but the quality of the food was not better than on Royal Caribbean ships, which are 4 star ships, while Celebrity is 5 star. The Qsine restaurant was expensive (35 dollar extra charge), but it was worth it. It was a very unique experience. Read more
