We arrived at pier 91 in Seattle at 11:45 and were on board in about 10 minutes. We were travelling with another couple and went to our cabins as soon as we boarded as all cabins were ready. After dropping off our carry on bags and meeting our room stewards we went to the Main Dining Room for the Mariners lunch. It was a great start to a great cruise. We all loved the Westerdam. We had a table for 4 in first seating and thought the food was excellent. We ate breakfast & lunch most days in the Lido and were very pleased with the food. We had one dinner in the Pinnacle Grill and it was wonderful. The last two mornings we had breakfast in the main dining room and thought the service and food was excellent.

The weather was perfect for the entire cruise and we were in shirtsleeves while in Glacier Bay. The only tour we took was in Sitka, where we took a jet boat out around some islands where we saw large groups of otters, many types of birds and 2 humpback whales. It was a perfect day. We all thought that the shows were excellent and we had some memorable evenings in the Piano Bar.

Disembarkation was a breeze. We were off the ship and had our luggage and cleared customs in about 20 minutes. All in all, this was a pretty perfect cruise. Holland America does a really great job.
