We knew we would not be alone on this last minute decided vacations (8/11 to 8/18) on the Costa Serena and knew what to expect on a boat of this size when full of sheep's (sorry passengers). For Costa we are not customers. Service is low average and you often have the impression when making a request that you're just a piece of annoyance for them. I had a very hot discussion with the tour manager who called security (what a joke) just because i was disagreeing with her publicly on the transfer rates to join the port of Ibiza to the down town area. 9 EUR per person for 4,2 kms (i checked the bus meter). A 60 usd charge for our family of six ...

No free wifi when in ports, still charged at horrendous rates and a very lousy service. Breakfast main rooms close for instance at 830 am... yes no kidding. Then you have the 9th floor where probably a good thousand people are trying to get some black juice at the same time, Bread is not fresh ....

Another disagreement is the constant noisy atmosphere. They repeat announcements in five or six languages for three or four times. Impossible to concentrate when you want to read something. To the point we disconnected the speaker in our room ... yeah I shall have no pride having done that but gosh they really broke my nerves.
