Been back Three weeks, from our three week holiday in the Baltic and the Norwegian Fjords. Had a fantastic time, this was our fifth cruise with Thomson, our first on Spirit. We knew what to expect as we had cruised on the Thomson Celebration the year before, Spirits sister ship. The ships are the smallest of the Thomson fleet. Thomson Spirit had a friendly and helpful crew, who could not do enough for you. The crew worked hard keeping the ship clean and tidy throughout the day and night. The ships are old and tied looking, but are a comfortably size to navigate around.
The food on board was fantastic. In the Compass Rose waiter service restaurant, staff were very good and attentive, especially as I am on a Gluten Free diet. The Lido restaurant was as equally good self service, food was always hot and fresh and serving though out the day and night.
The bars on board were always very busy, but their were plenty of staff to serve you your drinks. All bars had their own entertainment, may it be pianists, duet or trio their was plenty going on around the ship. Our favorite being the Horizon bar on the top deck and its sea views.
The shows we had seen on other Thomson ships, with one or two new ones were very good, the show team and Richard Grey cruise director were excellent. We had a guest comedian once a week. The crew on board put on a tallent show every week, they have some very talented crew members. We will definalty go aboard the Thomson Spirit again can't wait!
