Wonderful Time on Ocean Countess
Destination: Baltic Sea
Just got back from sailing to the Norwegian Fjords and Shetland Islands and felt compelled to put down our thoughts.
The whole trip has been amazing from start to finish. ALL the ships crew, including waiters, entertainment staff, cabin steward, even the captain have been wonderful throughout. Couldn't do enough to help or assist in any way and were always smiling, friendly & polite.
The food choice and quality has been excellent in both restaurants, which included 7 course lunches & dinners as well as afternoon tea and night-time nibbles. Our cabin, 6017, was spacious and had heaps of storage and the beds were very comfy.
Entertainment and activities were of the highest standard and there was a good choice of options. Included were quizzes and game shows, crafts, choral singing, ballroom dancing etc. Entertainment had a range of options including classical concerts and all singing and dancing shows, plus guest comedian, Lloyd Davies who was More very entertaining. There was also a cinema onboard (we saw several films during the week). Excursions were good -- interesting and informative with knowledgeable guides.
The cruise itinerary was well chosen and the organisation throughout our trip was exceptional. We arrived at each port of call either exactly on time or earlier and the organisation of embarking and disembarking at each port, plus at the start and end of our trip was very slick and well organised. There were no hitches and we were always well informed of progress etc.
Overall, we have had a truly wonderful and memorable trip. Cruise and Maritime Voyages should be congratulated on the first class service and product that they provide. We would definitely recommend them and wouldn't hesitate in booking with them in the future.
Overall impression: First class -- plus the benefit of sailing from Liverpool Less
