Grand Princess anniversary get away

Sail Date: July 2012
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Southampton

We picked up the eavesway coach from the services, put bags on coach and never saw them again until we got to the state room,we booked a ocean view and were upgraded to a balconey then to a mini suite. The ship is masive clean and very well run.the food is made on the ship(no fast food)it was it was top quality, the entertainment was very good with acts from x-facter/britains got talent/and the voice, the ports that were tendered were run like clockwork.they know what they are doing.you can't get board on this ship there is always something to do.
We brought the ultimate drinks package worth every penny(€89)we done two tours one to rome and one to pisa, not worth the hassle of missing the ship $149/$79
worth the piece of mind.

First stop Cadiz, very warm, going the firsttwo days with fair weather then the sun you burn very quick(factor 50 needed)i used factor 30 no good burn't,cadiz is easy on you own to walk around.very clean and loads to see.

Next Aleghro, More very hot 38 there is a road train that takes you through the old
town,do the neptune caves only €15 well worth it.Next Rome, very hot,and a long day 8 hours tour,if you are travel wise do it yourself if not go with a tour company.the vatican get tickets online from vatican site €15.remember to be quite in the sistine chapel.

Next Livorno, done pisa with princess beautful place well worth a visit you need about three hours to look around, beaware you will be set upon by afican steet sellers just say no,also children under eight will not be permited to go in any of the sites.

Next Cannes, not much there but the beachs are lovely and clean,we traveled on the road train to see the sites(€10).

Next barcelona,we used the hop on hop off bus (€24)saw all the sites got off and looked around, worth the money but very busy, walked down the la-ramble packed, did not see any pick pockets,

Next Gibraltar,we went up the cable car(£10)each the views were amazing the monkeys were all over the place, they will steal anything they can grab.the sail away was a show stopper, fantastic. Less
