Great time on the Pride

Sail Date: July 2012
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Baltimore

Just returned last week from our 7 day cruise on the Pride and I would have to say on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a solid 8.
Debarkation out of Baltimore was swift, easy and well-organized as we were on the ship by 12:30 having lunch on the Lido deck.
Positives-
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Activities and Shows were very entertaining(Comedians were Hilarious)and the performers in the Taj Mahal shows were very tallented and put on a great show.
Food and atmosphere in the Normandie dining room was great.
Negatives-
The comedy club although it was very nice is way to small to accommodate the crowds that were coming in to watch the shows. Sometimes getting there half hour early was not even enough to make sure you got a seat.
Food on the Lido deck was very good but the lines and the search to find a seat could be very frustrating.
Port stops just weren't long enough, another More hour or two would have been great.
Bingo games seem to be a huge rip-off that they are making a killing off of.

14 year old did the kids club, which some kids seemed to love but he had enough friends on board with him to keep him occupied so he didn't go but a couple of times.

Played Slots and Blackjack tournaments and they were a lot of fun. Less

Cabin review: Carnival Pride Balcony Empress 6224

Cabin 6224 Extended Balcony was just enough room for the four of us. Not real noisy, close enough to the elevators and right above the main Dining room so we loved it. Only issue was a long walk to the other end to get off the ship at the Ports. But not too bad

Port and Shore Excursions

Grand Cayman was great, no excursion necessary as the beach is right there...Plenty of loungers and reasonable prices(5 dollars for the day) for a floating mat. Lots of fish to look at if you are snorkeling...really nice place.

Half Moon Cay- again even nicer beach and lunch provided on the beach by Carnival. Of course everything else is a little pricier but all in all not that bad. Again, great snorkeling and my only complaint would be stop pushing the over-priced drinks so much and a little more seating in the lunch area would be nice
