Fantastic, and spectacular!

Sail Date: July 2012
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Other

The check in process was a bit daunting and took a while but once on board that was all forgotten and we couldn't believe our eyes. It is the biggest floating g magnificient hotel we've ever seen, and we have been to some of top hotels in the world.

Our Captain Adolf Remo was amazing, our son did the tour and because he was only 6 they gave him a signed book from the captain, our son Henry loved him. The captain spoke to guests on intercom, around the ship, in the dining room, on stage, it was just great.

The staff all work incredibly hard. The food was spectular and the choice. Delicious. You were made to feel very special at all times from the stateroom attendant ours being Dennis Q, our waiter Roxanne, always smiling and so courteous. Our assistant waiter jeffrey did magic tricks for our son.

The kids club our children wanted to go, the staff the activities were brilliant! Thank you all.

The cruise director was hilarious and made it so much fun, More and valued you for sailing on the ship. There were parties, on sail offs too, quizzes, bingo, piano bars, champagne bars, Zumba, great pools, so clean. In fact the whole ship was clean, towels linen, areas, spa, glass everything.

The ship is huge, stunning in fact. Felt sad to leave.

I don't know what else to say but as a family holiday, who wouldn't not enjoy it, something for everyone, all the time.

Thank you to the captain and all the staff! Especially joff eaton, Roxanne p, Jeffrey G, hadyar, Michelle lock, Stacey, Charlie and Tom, Shetland - all kids club and rest who we can't remember x Less

Cabin review: Independence of the Seas Large Oceanview Stateroom Deck 6

Comfortable beds, clean linen, sofa bed so comfortable too. Clean, quite airy when sofa bed up. Good view not forward facing as thought. Good shower, closets are small but then we put stuff under bed in cases. No noise at all on deck 8. We were at front of ship and slept really well. No problem, no complaints.

Port and Shore Excursions

Husband loved it, stunning and beaches beautiful

Great to see monkies, better to get taxi or excursion, cable car a nightmare.

Beautiful city but be careful as there are beggars and people trying to steal from you, woman tried to steal from us with her friends, fortunately didn't manage it.

Rome is beautiful but very hot and it was just too much for our little ones, walking in 42 'c heat and walking such a long way. Our tour guides were good, Lauren and Barbara
