Ship Facts: Paul Gauguin Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Paul Gauguin Deck Plans
Absolutely Amazing Cruise
We left New Zealand on Air Tahiti Nui, it was a nice new plane service good.

Arrived in Papeete late in the evening went to our hotel The Inter Continental which was a big disappointment. The swimming pool water was too cold to swim in

pleasantly. Our room was ok but the shower was sub-standard the view from the room was nice. The Breakfast had a good selection of cold food but the hot food was cold coffee nice if we had to pay for it it would have been expensive

at $50 NZ dollars per head. The view from the hotel was staggering not so the hotel.

The Paul Gauguin, the embarkation was done efficiently and we were shown to our cabin with a balcony. The cabin was spacious, very clean and well appointed with a fridge stocked with beer and soft drinks, the bathroom had nice toiletries L'Occitane. Our stewardess was very good at keeping the cabin neat and tidy. The meals in the restaurants were excellent as the waiters knew us by name and what drinks we like and very attentive. Breakfast was good at the Veranda restaurants and we were able sit outside. The ship feels very spacious and you do not feel crowded. Swimming pool was lovely and warm but good to cool off in. Stewards were always around to get you a drink of your choice.

The tenders to go ashore were very prompt, efficient and easy to get in and out of. We did not do any of the tours as they were quite expensive so we saw the islands by local taxis a lot cheaper and at our pace.

The islands are beautiful, the beaches have beautiful sand and water, the colours of the sea is amazing.

The cruise was very relaxing and everything we had hoped for.

the only complaint was that you must take US$ or XPF as they do not change any other currency.

We will be back again.
