Aside from the "Chair Hogs" on board, this was a fabulous vacation. I honestly have no complaints!
I am 55 and cruise with one of my adult daughters. Husband will not get on a ship......
Shows were great, we saw them all! The on-board activities were so much fun. We loved Gustav and Jessy, part of the entertainment staff. They were funny and kind and were everywhere helping everyone to have a great time.
We did not eat in any specialty restaurants. Food in the Grand Pacific, the more formal main dining room was good. We try to stay away from the buffet. They are very slow in the dining rooms, but you are supposed to be on vacation taking it easy. If you tell them you want to catch a show, watch how quickly and efficiently they serve you!
We attended the Murder Mystery luncheon. Very funny.
Stateroom was small but had tons of storage; more than enough for two people. Not sure how 3-4 people in the room would manage.
Ship was spotless. Someone was always cleaning something. Our room was always made up twice a day. We only saw our room steward on the first day, but we always knew he was around.
In Port Canaveral we went to Universal Islands of Adventure. Could have used more time here. It is a little expensive for the 5-6 hours you get in the park, but my daughter and I really just wanted to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We were extremely lucky and hit everything just right. Even with two other ships in port the day we were there, the longest we waited for anything was 50 minutes. We managed to see everything and even had time for a late "sit-down" lunch at the Three Broomsticks.
It was our secont time on Great Stirup Cay. We thoroughly enjoyed it again this time, even though it is hot and shade is limited on the island. They are expanding, and yes, they could use more lounge chairs, but we bring an old sheet with us just in case we cannot get said "chair" and plop down on that. We hang in the water where it is cool and re-apply, re-apply, re-apply the sunscreen.
DON'T FEED THE BIRDS. KEEP FOOD COVERED IF WALKING WITH IT.
THEY WILL ATTACK!
We had arranged the Wave Runner tour, but it was cancelled. They said it was because the tide was too low and it would be dangerous. I was told that my on-board account had already been credited (and it was).
Great Day!
