It was amazing to be on a ship that big. It had 13 floors, and tons of rooms! The ship had about 3000 passengers and about 800 crew members. That is a pretty good ratio. The staff were very helpful, the food was good. Not great, but wholesome! Lots of ethnic options, and was welcome to see a lot of Indians in the kitchen, making some good Indian food, and masala tea! You have to ask for it!
The ship had two swimming pools, but they were 6 ft deep. Nothing that was child friendly! Well, there was a waterslide which was pretty much closed all cruise long! But 6ft deep? Why not have a 3-5ft pool like most places seem to have? Is this a cruise thing?
The ship's entertainment was nice. The performers were of ok caliber. The cruise director was quite funny and was engaging. They had little activities - like treasure hunt, and quizzes, and such, for which the prizes were highlighters with Royal Caribbean name on it! Really?
The signature drinks were pretty creative and befitting a drink with an umbrella status!
Charged for soda, or water! And laundry was expensive. So were the pictures! This day and age, they still do printed pictures only. We need to get with the digital age! Seriously!! At least have the option.
The captain and the staff were quite engaging. Attentive, cheerful, and helpful.
Overall very good experience, though I will check about the pool before I book the next cruise!
