Carnival dream

Sail Date: July 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

We had a group of 27 people on Carnival Dream for the Western Caribbean Sailing from Port Canaveral. The embarkation and the De-embarkation was the best. We were in and out of the ship within 30 minutes.

The food was the best, especially the Tandoori Indian and the Mongolian Chinese. The ship is beautiful but since they put in more rooms, they took out most of the public space. there were only two small pools on either side of the ship. The pool was not cleaned properly, you could find locks of hair if you put your hands in the water. They were very crowded all the time.

Even though they had six jacuzzi, it was too hot to sit in them and they were always crowded. Wasn't too crazy about the dining service in the evening. The poor waiters were working like machines, they didn't have enough time to interact with the passengers. Everything was about money. We didn't get good drinks. Even the non alcoholic drinks were very pricey.

I have been on Carnival Ships in More the past and their entertainment is the best but on this ship, it was OK. The port excursions weren't very good either. We were on the Vista deck. It is one deck below the lido deck. We couldn't sleep all night. there were noises of moving chairs, people walking and loud music. Most of the shore had same types of excursions. Next time I would go on smaller cruises rather than mega-ships. Less
