Travelled on P&O's Oriana for the 1st time and fell in love with this ship (if that's possible). Everything about this ship was great. The food, Entertainment, Service in all restaurants, Bars and cabins. Oriana has the best Cruise Director in John Bartram who was especially entertaining with the stars from Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC. We didn't know when booking that it was a "Strictly Come Dancing Cruise" but as we watch and like the programme we thought why not?
We thoroughly enjoyed all the programmes & dancing relating to the shows and we also had Edwina Currie on board doing her talk on her life in government.
A bit disappointed with the films shown but there was obviously people who enjoyed them as it was mostly full. Terrific cinema for a ship, very comfortable. Every lounge, Bar and show lounge were fantastic and we would highly recommend paying the small supplement for a meal at Marco Pierre White's Ocean Grill as it was wonderful and the food and service More
Port No.1 was Stavanger which we toured on our own. Unfortunately it was raining fairly hard that day but we enjoyed what we saw.
Port No. 2 was Alesund where we took an excursion from the ship which was really good and our guide was very informative and took us to places we wouldn't have got to on our own. Really lovely port.
Port No. 4 was Ny-Alesund on Spitsbergen Island in the Artic Circle. Very small place where scientists do their experiments. Not exactly a tourist port but very interesting to walk around within the boundaries as there are polar bears there.Port No. 6 was Eidfjord. When opening our cabin curtains we thought we had landed in someone's back garden. When we got off the ship we couldn't believe where we were as it looked like the ship had been superimposed onto this landscape which was so beautiful and this village was at the end of the Hardangerfjord which we saw a lot more of when we left as we had 8 hours going through the fjord to reach the North Sea. Truly breathtaking. Less

Cabin review: Outside Twin with Window
We was in Cabin E119 which was on Ellora deck and was an outside with shower.
We had two wardrobes each plus two large drawers each and a four drawer bedside cabinet each. It also had a couch, desk with a small fridge and TV. Very comfortable beds and kept very clean & tidy.
We didn't do any excursions in Bergen and again took the free shuttle bus into town along with our map. We went through the town to the Fish Market which is a must see with it's array of fish & seafood which you can sit and eat at reasonable prices. We then went onto the Bryggen to see Old Bergen which has narrow alleyways and wooden houses turned into fashionable local stores which were fascinating. Unfortunately the day we was there, five large ships were in port with loads of people of all nationalities milling around. Definitely would like to go back to Bergen one day to see more.
We didn't like any of the excursions offered by the ship so we got the free shuttle bus from the port into town and along with our map found our own way around. Trondheim has it's nice parts and it's not so nice parts with eastern Europeans sitting in the street begging, but then we ignored them and had a couple of hours looking around before going back to the ship as it had started to rain.
