Ship Facts: Eurodam Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Eurodam Deck Plans
July 4, 2012 Gem of the Baltics on the Eurodam
We arrived in Copenhagen the day before our ship embarked. We stayed at the Best Western which was convenient to the Nyhavn. I would also recommend the Scandic as we have also stayed there and that is in a good location. We took the Hop On Hop Off bus to tour the city.

We were basically happy with the Eurodam. Our room was nice and well taken care of. We enjoyed the musical shows and also the comedian. The food in the dining room was just okay. We have had better food on earlier cruises. We were disappointed in the Pinnacle Grill as one of our fillets was gristly, although the service was great. One of our traveling companions celebrated his birthday and the Pinnacle provided a beautiful birthday cake.

I would highly recommend SPB Tours. We used them in four cities - St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Helsinki and Berlin. The tour guides were excellent, we had a small group and the buses were clean and comfortable. They provided water in some of the ports. Because of the small group we were able to get into and out of places of interest much easier. They got you back to the ship in plenty of time before the ship sailed. It was because of SPB Tours that our vacation was great.

We took two HAL tours and I would not recommend Castles, Lakes and Roses in Kiel, Germany. We saw the outside of two castles that were not spectacular, the boat ride on the lake was nothing special and there were no rose gardens - just some roses scattered here and there in a town we stopped in. Our tour guide did not speak English very well. Our HAL tour in Stockholm was okay as we were taken to the Vasa Museum and got in right away. We could have spent more time there though.

Our favorite cities on this cruise were St. Petersburg and our trip to Berlin. Even though it was a three hour bus trip to Berlin we found it very interesting and just peaked our interest in that city. We enjoyed our American tour guide with SPB Tours there also.
