Despite some negative comments in the following review, I still am a huge fan of Princess Cruises and would highly recommend Princess. That said, I would have to say that this particular cruise did not meet the standards, especially in service, that I am used to with Princess.

Embarkation: We were quickly transported to the pier from the airport. Embarkation itself was fast and easy. Everyone was very pleasant.

Cabin: We had a balcony cabin on Caribe deck. This was suggested by our travel agent as this category has larger balconies. The balcony was large and had a table and 4 comfortable sturdy chairs (unlike the chairs on Dawn Princess, which were uncomfortable and flimsy). The cabin did not have as convenient a layout as other ships we've been on but it was ok. My only complaint about the cabin is that the pillows were horrible-flat and uncomfortable. Also the robes we requested weren't in the cabin. The steward gave us robes when we asked, but the robes were not the comfortable terry robes we used to get. The steward was an unfriendly person who seemed annoyed by any request. He never smiled. This was so strange as we have always had the nicest stewards (on all of the cruise lines we've tried).
