Seasoned Cruiser and wanted to take my daughter on her very First cruise for her 13th Birthday! I didn't want to start her out on Allure or Oasis, as that would spoil her right away and she wouldn't appreciate the older ships, so I'm gradually showing her how to embrace all of the fleet! We booked this cruise 2 weeks before leaving July 13th and invited my friend and her 16 yr old daughter. The 3 and 4 day cruises are quick and good for people who would get ansy on a 5/7 days cruise. This ship is clean and the personnel is wonderful! They really strive to make your trip pleasant even though there is not a lot of time to get to know the staff like you would on a longer cruise.

CocoCay and Nassau, we didn't get off the boat, as a long time cruiser, I wanted my daughter to experience the tranquility of being on a big ship with no one else, (everyone else gets off the boat at port)- So we had the pool to ourselves and had lunch at Johnny Rockets! The Juggler/Comedian Show was good and entertaining, if you want good seats, show up 15-20 mins before.....the show current with music and audience participation. The Boogie Wonderland Show was AMAZING! Talk about taking a trip down Memory Lane through the 70's era, these singers and dancers will have you in tears from the shear joy of music. Dining Room was best on the last nite!! They certainly try hard and the waiters AIM TO PLEASE. They definitely deserve the tips they request. We also took a Jewelry Class (free) look for it on your compass; Sang Karaoke; got GREAT photos; Drank Starbucks at CafeLattitude and had a WONDERFUL time. The girls had a great time even though they didn't go to the Teen Lounge, they enjoyed hanging with us Mom's!! AWESOME TIME!! Already booked our next cruise while we were on the ship since that is where they give you the best deal! I'll take her on the Freedom or Liberty next. I cruised the Freedom Sept 2011 and took my mom for her 65th (Medicare) Birthday and it was FABULOUS!! Working our way up the chain so we can always appreciate our older ships and have a little extra jingle in our pockets!!! Have a great time and make it FUN! Also if any way possible get to the Port before 1pm. It ends up like Bottle Necked because of later flights and locals coming later. You will get on much faster if you get on before 12:30pm. Our other party got on at 11:30 within 15 mins. We arrived in Miami and got to the Terminal at 2pm and didn't get on til 3:30pm. It's nice and Air Conditioned and they offer you Lemon Water, but the wait is difficult. :)

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

3069 - Deck 3 / Interior Cabins are less expensive and COZY!! Want a Cold, Dark, Cozy Room to take a nap after eating too much??? Interior Rooms are the Best! Beds are high enough where the biggest suitcase can slide right underneath, storage is easy, you just have to think OCD, but it will ALL fit! You are not in the room very much so it shouldn't be too much of a concern. And most people OVERPACK for 3 & 4 day cruises anyway.
