Just returned from 14 nights round the Med, there was six of us on board, ages between 15 and 70 years old. The staff were fantastic, food even better. The boat was very clean.
That's the end of the good points. Drinks very expensive around $8 a pint, tips expected for everything. Shows are ok, but it is a little like Pontins on the sea, just costs a lot more.
Boat was very busy, unable to get near the pools or onto a sun bed. If you wanted to drink in one of the bars, you need to be there sharp and not give up your seat.
If you want a good seat in the theaters, you need to get there about 40 mins early.
Did not enjoy the ports, most were poor and dirty, transfer buses cost between 12euro and 20euro's........trips cost a lot more.
The ship is just a big money making machine......arcades cost a fortune, ice cream costs between $3 & $5 (nominal fee) what a joke at one of the ports you could buy ice cream from Ben & Jerry's on shore for 1 or 2 euro's??????????
Tobacco on ship £28, onshore at port £18?????????
Would I do it again...NO.....neither would anyone else from our party.
