We have cruised on Virgo 7 times over the years so we understand that the ship is operating in Asia and is designed and structured for Asian passengers. Many western people clearly do not understand this and complain about many things which are "normal" in Asia.

The ship was refurbished in January this year and is now in excellent condition and really is a high quality ship with many wow factor facilities. The only disappointment for us was that they did not do much to the balcony cabins, only new carpet and curtains. The beds in these rooms are very low and not very comfortable for 6 foot plus Australians.

The food on this ship is not to HAL or RCL standard but is still good with enough variety to satisfy. The Asian restaurants are very good as you would expect. They do charge for everything apart from the inclusive restaurants and there is no free burger/pizza bar like on most ships, it is very good but you have to pay, however prices are reasonable. If you book a balcony cabin you receive a S$400 F & B credit which should cover all costs.
