Our experience in Europe was incredible but I can't say the same for the cruise.
The ship was brand new only it's second sailing but I wasn't impressed beyond the new factor! I have been on two previous Disney cruises and the carnival ship doesn't compare... Everything was an up charge! There were many areas to choose from for dining but all were additional except the standard dining room and buffets...including additional $ for any soft drink. The food was okay but definitely not exceptional.!
The shows in the evening didn't even come close to the Broadway style productions of Disney...Carnival had the same 6 performers in all shows with very minimal sets...
As for the design of the ship...simple things that made for frustration. The drinks available water, lemonade, and tea were always running out because they had to be hand filled. In this day on age I'm sure there is a simple solution others than having a carnival employee squeezing into the line of More
waiting people to refill... The omelet station in the middle of the buffet so people who only wanted fruit or Danish had to wait in line behind everyone getting an omelet. Pizza made to order, which sounds great but not on a ship with thousands of people. I could go on and on....
Then there is the sky course...the attraction that my kids loved but....it is wind restricted!! Did Carnival forget that this a cruise ship, generally windy at sea!! So you had to wait for the course hours to be open, very limited, and then hope that it wasn't too windy or they would shut it down!! On a positive note the employees were very friendly... Less
