As an event manager, we often travel with clients or spend vacation time with family. We are fortunate to travel to warm water locations & we wanted to spend our 20th anniversary somewhere we've never been - we did not expect to spend the day at Glacier Bay National Park (in sweaters) taking photos of whales & otters. We were overly impressed with the services of NCL & the officers spending time with guests - they are more than awesome. The staff must take happy pills each morning plus practice smiling. We loved the 'we have your wine' program to purchase 4 bottles of wine for the week - it was a bargain for us!

With the Penthouse cabin - the amenity list is too extensive to mention and well worth the upgrade (with special embarkation privileges). NCL booked our hotel in Seattle and it all worked like clockwork! We took advantage of their bag program & for $20/per person ... plus the AA fee - our bags were check all the way back to Chicago & we didn't need to lug them around Seattle for the day!

Our TOURS in each port were perfect - Whale Watching, Eagle Quest, the Deadliest Catch Tour and the Victoria Horse Trolley Ride - each with time for shopping. We bought into the NCL next cruise program and the only problem is we don't know if we will cruise Europe or go back to Alaska with a ground tour! Clean ship with lovely activities and great entertainment -- you will not be taking a nap!

We were in the Penthouse Aft Cabin - 8630 and it was wonderful - very beautiful design & extremely spacious. The list of amenities were EXTENSIVE! We will never go to a lesser category than Penthouse. The views were great and if we wanted to see the view from the ship's front in the morning, we just turned on the web cam on Channel 24. We were worried about being above the 'new' bowling alley on the Pearl... although we could sometimes hear the pins; and it might disrupt extremely light sleepers - it did not bother us at all. We did make our friends with a couple on Deck 11 who had smoker come down from the outside cafe on Deck 12 (never thought about that). However - everyone should check out the amenities which come with the Penthouse Suites!
