Embarkation and debarkation were very fast and easy, RC has gotten the process down pat. I had read about the ship on cruise critic before we got on the boat and was very excited about the great reviews. Unfortunately the week before our cruise I read a couple being bitten by 100's of bed bugs and the ship was Jewel of the Sea. I was extremely bothered by this and did consider canceling but we went anyway and did not experience any bed bug although I do admit I did not sleep well and any itch I had made me nervous.

We had a balcony cabin and it was very small. The bathroom was a typical bathroom. The balcony was also a bit of a disappointment because it was not private. There was a 2 foot space at the end of the partition where you could look onto the next balcony area .

The service from the cabin stewards or the waiters and the assistant waiters on the boat was excellent as usual. I can not say enough about the activities director Karen Mayberry who was an excellent hostess and was extremely upbeat and personable she fit the very meaning of social director and we loved her.
