I found the splendour of the seas a disappointment quite frankly as we had sailed last year on adventure of the seas so we were probably looking forward to the same level of cleanliness ,we were sorely disappointed. The decks were wet and slippy most of the time with no staff around to mop up.The level of commitment was just not there as it was on the adventure !I found the staff very lackadaisical. The windjammer food that we were so looking forward to again was unimaginative and seemed to forget about the English palette, and it just wasn't so beautifully laid out like it was on the adventure. We normally like to just go up into the windjammer a few times a day just to see the amazing array of food,we just didn't find this worthwhile as the food was the same every day!And seemed to cater more for the Latin and Asian palette more than anyone else. Not everyone is a fan of spicy foods. Not asking for anything fancy but a shepherd's pie was on the menu only once,it wouldn't harm them to put on a bit of steak pie or roast chicken for a change. On saying that the room service food was amazing which we didn't find out until the last few nights, when we were hungry enough to try it.It came fast and efficiently. The staff were mainly Latinos ?and Caribbean.Friendly enough but not quite up to the scratch of the staff of the adventure.Who seemed to clean from morning to night. There was one good restaurant on board the grille, where the steak was the best I've ever tasted you do pay one set charge in here but you get a three course meal here. And Errol our waiter was so friendly.

The room we had was clean and lovely balcony ,but the people (families) next to us were far too noisy, screaming and shouting at their kids all day long and then from six every morning!I think its diabolical putting a couple in between families. We paid a lot of money for this what we thought would be a special cruise. The only special parts of the cruise were trips to Monaco and the wonderful island of Capri which we managed to travel to on our own steam (much cheaper)not with the ships excursions.Altogether great cruise but ship needs pulled up a lot.Bars were good cocktails not too dear.Latino entertainment again in one bar !But the other bars were nice and had great ships entertainment great soul singing band in the theatre one night and great band called the reef riffs go boys ! You done well.Try another ship next time I will read reviews beforehand though.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

We had room 1684 which was very presentable the only complaint was the neighbours, all that noise should not have been allowed. So ok it was a family but no need for all that noise, they should keep couples together and families together. They should not be mixed we had noise either side.
