Very nice family cruise

Sail Date: June 2012
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Getting to the ship was a nightmare thanks to the parade for the Miami Heat. I really feel sorry for all those who had to work and drive around the Port of Miami. Why the celebration was scheduled for the middle of a work day is beyond me.

Cabin was nice and met our needs. It was an interior cabin on level 8 near the front of the ship.

We had read negative comments about the food and were prepared for the worst and found the food to be way above our expectations (especially the deserts). Dinner menu had a section called "Didya" as in did you ever want to try this. One night it was allegator fritters and another it was frog legs. The kids will always remember these.

One food negative was the scrambled eggs on the buffet. I would suggest the Captain and the CEO meet for a buffet scrambled egg breakfast and see if changes are needed.

Half Moon Cay was skipped due to Tropical Storm Debby and lightning. Although I wanted to stop there it was a wise More move by the Captain to consider safety first.

We had an early flight and one option is to meet at the Palladeum Theater and walk off with your luggage. This eased the fear of missing the flight.

Be careful of using (even turning on) your smart phone. You may be hit with large charges from your carrier.
