we did a ships walking tour of Cadiz which was good but you can walk around the city alone, following the lines painted on the pavements, all within easy reach of the ship. A very interesting and picturesque city with lots of beautiful squares, buildings and a cathedral.

Santiago (Valparaiso)

we walked into the town centre and went to the Almeda gardens which were lovely and free to enter.If you can walk three times round the deck you will be fine walking in and there is a shuttle bus to and from the port which costs a few pounds. beware of the tour buses offering tours for Â£20+ as you can walk to the gardens and the cable car easily and there were very short queues.
Shopping was good if you want cheap alcohol etc and  bartering for clothing etc appeared to be OK if initiated by the vendor -the price went down dramatically if you try to leave without buying.

Gibraltar

a beautiful, totally unspoilt island with a superb beach. No frills at all and not a sun lounger in sight. Full of locals enjoying the sunshine.

A fabulous day which we will repeat next year when we visit again.

Casablanca is not on the list!!
We were given an advisory sheet prior to the port .We took the tour with the ship, it was extremely good, touring the old Portuguese city walls, the market and the famous underground cisterns. A long drive but well worth the effort. 
we decided not to take the shuttle into Casablanca and there were definitely mixed reviews about perceived safety from passengers we spoke to, but most seemed to enjoy the experience.

We had the later fixed dining option which was of a good standard, the vegetable choices were sometimes a little random in terms of the main course s, but that only added to the conversation over dinner with fellow diners.The entertainment, in particular the headliners theatre group were very good and we saw almost all of their shows-a very high standard.
