MSC Divina, Yacht Club Suite, Istanbul-Bari-Katakolon-Izmir-Istanbul-At sea-Dubrovnik. After a very successful cruise in a Yacht Club Suite on board the MSC Fantasia in the Western Med last year it was with big expectations we booked the brand new MSC Divina for holiday this summer. Again in the Yacht Club as this concept is truly great for us. A silent haven within a mega ship with personal service, great comfort and relaxing atmosphere. A paradise for our holiday. And we were not let down. MSC Divina is a sister ship of MSC Fantasia but there are some improvements here and there, like a bigger Top Sail Lounge in the Yacht Club and not at least, toilets on the Yacht Club One Pool Deck. They are similar in layout so no problems to navigate around this BIG ship. The ship is shiny, very clean everywhere and it seems like MSC put it's proud to keep their ships in an immaculate condition. Embarkation was a breeze, we took a water taxi from our hotel, then a quick stroll down to the terminal where the Yacht Club staff and our butler waited for us. We were on board in less than 15 minutes. Maybe it helps to do the MSC web check-in, I don't know. Our cabin was a Deluxe Suite on deck 16, 33 sq m. Perfect size and only 3 sq m smaller than the Royal Suite we had last year. Darker interior colours than on MSC Fantasia, but a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The walk in wardrobe is nice. A word on warning, water taxis in Venice are VERY expensive, costs start at EUR 70. We had our dinner served in the private restaurant Le Muse and as last year, the service was great. Regarding the food we thought for a second that the standard might have fallen a bit, after a rather bad main course the second evening. After a couple of days the food improved a lot and we had two great gala nights with terrific food. Organisation in the restaurant was also bit chaotic in the start as well but also that improved as the week passed on. As the ship is completely new I guess they have some organisation issues going on. As last year we had our breakfast in the Top Sail Lounge. Great views there and a lot to choose from. We had wonderful lunch served on the Pool Deck with different food every day and several hot dishes to choose from unlike last year when they only had one hot dish. Maybe they listened to our customer feedback form? The staff in Yacht Club is very good and they offer exceptional service. Some of them had transferred from MSC Fantasia and it was very nice to meet them again. At the pool deck the pool staff took very good care of us and in the Top Sail Lounge live piano entertainment took place every evening. It was a very international atmosphere on board, we met other passengers from the US, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain and Italy in Yacht Club. We did not use any shore excursions from MSC except from at the disembarkation day in Venice when we had a late afternoon flight. The organisation of the excursion was not the best and I have to say that it was not good value for money, even if the airport transfer was included. Next time we will organise our disembarkation ourselves. The ship is amazing and we had a great cruise from the very beginning to the end and we highly recommend MSC Yacht Club.
