This was our 20th cruise but first on Carnival so didn't know what to expect. Embarkation was the smoothest, friendliest ever. We found the food to be good to excellent. We liked the Mongolian Wok & Reubens in Tiffany's. We had dinner in the MDR every night where we had excellent service. Our cabin was an ocean view which was sparsely furnished compared to our previous cruises but for 5 days it was OK. The shower was a nice size though. And we had a wonderful steward, Sorin. The cabin was located at the stern and was larger than other ocean views in the same category allowing us to be able to have our bed set up as a queen and still be able to walk past the ugly corner box holding the life jackets. The ship was in good condition and very clean. We especially enjoyed listening to Natallia who played in the piano bar. Went to the 2 production shows and thought they were good. DH and DS went to Chichen Itzn on the Carnival excursion which they enjoyed. In Cozumel, we were lucky & docked in the downtown port, so we went to Pancho's Backyard for some good Mexican food and atmosphere (and a free margarita with a coupon I got on the Internet before we left). Loved the Serenity Deck and spent a lot of time relaxing there. Disembarkation was easy and we were off the ship around 9:30. This was a relaxing, enjoyable cruise along with a good time in NOLA.

Cabin review: Ocean View

6CU230
U230 - Our cabin was an ocean view which was sparsely furnished. The shower was a nice size though. The cabin was located at the stern and was larger than other ocean views in the same category allowing us to be able to have our bed set up as a queen and still be able to walk past the ugly corner box holding the life jackets. The last morning, the cabin was noisy (engines?) as we approached NOLA, but that was the only time I noticed it. The window needed a good cleaning, too. If I were booking an ocean view cabin, I would book this cabin again.
