We have just arrived home from our cruise on the Voyager of the Seas.We embarked in Singapore and did 8 nights and then stayed on for a second cruise for 5 nights. We have been on approx 25 cruises(different cruise companies) and are platinum members of the Crown and Anchor Club. This cruise was very disappointing.
The embarkation in Singapore was very easy.My impression of the ship is that is needs a refurbishment as it is looking a bit dated (they did the casino on route from Dubai)and the design seemed closed in with most of the public areas windowless.I found the food very average with the dining room a little better but very limited selection. The staff were very good all over the ship.
The Voyager hasn't been to these ports before and because of its size had to dock a long way out.In Hong Kong we were tendered for the first night and it was bedlam trying to get 3600 people off.The organisation was terrible and the waiting time was 4 hours (after standing in line for tender tickets). The next day were docked at the container port which was 45 minutes by bus ( and there were not enough of them). The wait to be picked up and returned to the ship was 1 1/12 hours and their were tempers fraying with the push ins. This was the story of the whole cruise, always a long way from the cities, long lines and bad manners.
The second cruise was a nightmare 3300 Chinese guests not understanding the concept of a queue. The ship has a code of conduct for guests but I'am afraid it wasn't implemented.Either they couldn't or wouldn't enforce it which left the rest of us who tried to behave correctly disillusioned.I will not go on RRC again.
