We enjoyed so much about the Norwegian Pearl and from the moment we entered the ship we were treated as family. Our room steward (Felix) called us by name the entire trip and took care of every need. The room itself was bigger than I thought it would be with plenty of room for belongings, a vanity table and the bathroom shower looked brand new. The in-room movies were nice at night for the times we wanted to stay in.
We are late risers so we had room service almost every more and everything was served hot and to our liking. The Buffet was never overly crowded when we arrived and there was never a time when we couldn't find a table to sit at. I appreciated how much options on the buffet changed (yes you could always get a Hamburger or Pizza but the other options changed daily) The crepe station was outstanding! The Freestyle method of cruising (eating where you want, when you want)may not appeal to some but we were always given the option in the dining rooms to sit with others or by ourselves. We never had to wait in lines as we've had to do on other ships. The menu's in the two more formal dining rooms also changed nightly with plenty of options and we never ate anything that wasn't to our liking. the service also was outstanding. We were asked several times during our meals what we did that day, how our meal was, etc, and met wonderful waiters from all over the world.
The entertainment also exceeded our expectations! We saw:
Frankie Valley and the Four Season - Great Tribute and fun show
Encore - Musical review of Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Producers - great dancing and Singing
Second City - We enjoyed their comedy so much we went again a second night and because it was improv it was all new!
Deal or No Deal Games show - Great fun with audience participation
Art Auction - They always sounded stuffy and boring but this was a lot of fun!
Soul - a band that played great music every night
Trivia - was fun and often held in the crystal atrium on the big screen
Crew Talent Show - We loved the young man who danced a traditional dance from the Philippines in traditional clothing - breathtaking and the crew had us laughing at the end with a skit they did that i wouldn't want to spoil for everyone but should not be missed!
If I had to find one flaw it was the chocolate buffet. Not enough variety and should be held in one of the elegant dining rooms and not at the buffet.
We saw amazing scenery, had great excursions but our trip was greatly enhanced by the great staff of the Norwegian Pearl!
