This was our first ever family cruise and I am so glad we chose to have it on the Jade. What an amazing holiday!!!

Embarkation at Venice was very easy, drop off your cases and go and check in. Our cabin was ready for us straight away.

The cabin size was surprisingly bigger than we thought it would be from the room plan pictures on the NCL website. There was more than enough room for 2 adults, a teenage daughter and our 2 year old son (plus cases!!)

Cabin O1

Our cabin was much larger than we anticipated after seeing the deck plans on NCL's website. The main beds are 2 singles which we pushed together. On our second day our cabin steward had secured the beds together and put double linen onto the bed so we id not even feel that it was 2 single beds. Our teenage daughter had the pull down bed which was perfect for her, it even had its own little light so she could read at night. There is a ladder in the wardrobe to climb on to the bed but our daughter just climbed up from our bed. Our 2 year old son had a travel cot but there was also a sliding bed under our bed which would have fitted in a row with our bed.

There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for a family of 4.

The bathroom was slightly small but you adapted quite easily to it - the shower was pretty powerful and we never ran out of hot water.

There is a mini fridge in the room filled with a few (chargeable) goodies.

The hairdryer supplied is more than adequate.

There is also a safe which you can program with your own pin number which is handy for passports etc.

Our cabin did not have any tea / coffee making facilities.

Overall the cabin was brilliant for the 4 of us and our cabin steward was amazing - our son in particular liked finding the towel animals in the evening.
