The Celebrity Equinox is reported to be three years new with modern facilties, even the changing rooms and restrooms for the fitness center is upscale using both cloth and paper towels. There are two sections of swimming, one in the open deck, the other enclosed with no wind blowing. The spa is state of the art with accupunture, facial and reflexology treatment available for guests. The 14th floor 24 hour open buffet serves high tea from 4 -5 p.m. each day. The food is phenomenal. Formal dining has two sittings. The menu contained a set menu on the left and daily changing menu on the right.
The evening entertainment is elaborate and has Cirque du Soleil type performer on stage. The costumes and movable stage is modern. The Cruise Director Damion is energetic and upbeat at all times. The staterooms are spacious and daily service is great. The staff very friendly and helpful. The captain and the waiter of our table assisted in locating my sweater left in the dining room. Most of all the itinerary to Eastern Mediterranean including embarkation port of Rome, Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast in Italy; Santorini, Athens, Mykonos in Greece and Istanbul, Kusadasi, Ephesus of Turkey provided a fantastic and exciting travel and shopping experience. It was a very worthwhile cruise in comparison to the 8 cruises we have been on around the world among 6 cruise companies. We highly recommend this itinerary and Celebrities Equinox.
