Embarkation was very, very slow from the start. No champagne cocktail waiting for you after the ordeal.
The ship was very clean and had some very beautiful spots. I loved the ESPN bar which was in the promenade deck not hidden away as it is on other ships. The entertainment was ongoing and they had a variety of musicians that played throughout the day.
I had read the reviews prior to boarding and kept a positive attitude since I had always truly enjoyed sailing with Carnival. Unfortunately, the dining experience (in the dining room) was a daily let down. The lido deck food was always good especially lunch. The breads were baked fresh and the variety was amazing. The dining room was another story. We always look forward to having dinner together as a family and even though we were together we could not enjoy our dinner. The food was always cold and there was something missing that we had to wait for. In addition, there was no spunk or happy vacation feeling to the dining room. Not once did the Maitre'D greet us.
Everything else on the ship was like every other Carnival ship I have been on. Cruising is my favorite way to travel and I have been on a lot of cruises so there were no surprises there !
