Booked stay n cruise to please OH (likes scenery best)and myself (like hot places).Went with friends and firstly to Las Vegas-been before and still love it-then Seattle for Alaska cruise.Been on 6 previous cruises mainly with different companies as I like to try "different" companies rather than subscribe to the "been previously-get a "perk" group".(over rated I say).
The start was not auspicious-ship had been delayed 2-3 hours on crossing from California which meant long queues and chaos at Seattle (also we couldnt look round Seattle!)
The weather was helpfully both sunny and bright,if cold at times.Being Brits we are used to cold and wet!We were delighted with all our ports of call.No tenders was a good thing as no delays.
The only bad thing was Victoria,British Columbia-Celebrity-why so late? 6.00pm not a good time and hardly any time to see sights unless you were "anytime" diners or on a Celeb organised trip!
I am sure you could arrange an earlier TOA ?
The ship was lovely and couldnt fault it!
Food was lovely too and entertainment and theatre well appointed.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and would cruise with Celebrity again,BUT Celeb need to think again about the "cost cutting" exercise in docking at Victoria at 6.00pm at night-bit of a con isnt it? -extra sea day?(though not advertised as such)
