Arrived in Barcelona one night before the cruise and stayed at the Royal Rambla Hotel which has recently been renovated. I love Barcelona as it has great shopping and lots to do.
We caught a taxi to the pier after checking out of the Hotel at 12.00. When we arrived there was a long line but it went very quickly so we did not have to wait very long. Then we were on the ship and went to the Oceanview Cafe for a buffet lunch which was very crowded but we where able to get a seat. Our rooms would not be ready until 3pm as the reason we found out later was the NoroVirus so it was getting cleaned very well.
CABINS: Our cabin was very quiet and well maintained. Serviced twice daily and our room attendants were very nice and helpful always with a smile.
FOOD: We had dinner and breakfast in Blu most mornings and nights. The staff were really nice and friendly nothing was to much trouble. Jay our waiter was fantastic and always smiling. The buffet was good if you felt More
like a snack or afternoon tea lots of variety. We dined in Tuscan Grille but I don't think I would bother again not worth it. Cafe Al Bacio where we had specialty coffees was nice to and very comfy chairs. We went to the dining room for dinner one night and for Brunch on the 2nd last sea day but I found it noisy and crowded.SHOWS: We went to 2 shows. 1 was a comedian he was really funny the other was like Cirque de soleil with acrobats and dancers it was really good.
PORTS: All the ports were great we had private tour with RomeinLimo for 3, Luisella Romeo for Venice and did the rest ourselves. All tours we on time and had us back to the ship with time to spare.
DISEMBARKING: We came of the ship at 8.30 got our bags and were met by Barcelona Day Tours for a 3 hour city tour. We were then dropped to HOTEL 1898
for another night in beautiful Barcelona then home to SYDNEY AUSTRALIA. Less
