Enchantment - Less than Enchanting

Sail Date: May 2012
Destination: Bermuda
Embarkation: Baltimore

The check-in process for this cruise was great. We arrived about 11:00 A.M. and were on the ship within a few minutes of arrival. The check-in in was swift and well organized.

I was a bit disappointed with this cruise - mainly with the entertainment throughout the ship. The weather was uncooperative on this cruise and the crew did very little to step up and entertain it's guests. There were many people who did not get off the ship at the ports of call because of the poor weather. The staff did not add any additional entertainment options to compensate for this.

I felt the Schooner Bar had a very poor singer who was less then exciting. On other cruises, the Schooner bar was a place to go and sing along with the piano player. The person who was performing here was not engaging and definitely not on key. In the other show lounges there few options of types of music or entertainment.

The main show lounge had wonderful entertainment. There was a variety of More shows with several different kinds of entertainment. My only wish is RCL would find some other type of headliner singer then Motown. The juggler and comedy acts were great.

The ship was in pretty good shape. Everything was kept up well and clean.

We really enjoyed our time in the Crown Lounge during the time it was set aside for it's Diamond members. The staff in the Diamond lounge was exceptional and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a good time and had whatever they needed. The entire cruise staff was friendly and helpful. Cabin review: Enchantment of the Seas Large Oceanview Stateroom Deck 2 4574

We had an accessible ocean view cabin (4574). It was very roomy with plenty of closet space. The only problem was the window was severely scared and marred and we were unable to see well out of it.

Port and Shore Excursions

The people in Bermuda were the friendliest and most helpful of any island I have visited. Bermuda is a beautiful island.

Since this is a Tendered port - I have mobility issues and was unable to get off the ship.
