I'm thankful my children enjoyed this cruise, because they're parents didn't!
I beg of whoever reads this, do not waste your money..
The Ship was nice, clean, staff was also nice, room wasn't bad, that's the extent of the good things...
Carnival is all about the dollar, make no mistake about it. Grand Turk, they own it, prices, extremely high, Half-Moon Cay, they own it, all prices the same as on the boat, Free-port, an absolute joke. They port you in an oil refinery, then direct the cab drivers to send you to a market with prices out of this world.. oh, it's $10 r/t for the cab ride from he*&...
Carnival sells you $12-$15 fancy drink containers with 10oz drinks in the center. They want you to get dressed up so they can take your photo a million times, to yes, sell you the photos back. Sure, ice tea and lemonade are free, sounds good doesn't it? nope, all concentrate, but, you can buy beverage/soda cards for $4.50/child, $6/Adult...
If you think your porting on an island, albeit a Carnival owned island, for the time your itinerary says, WRONG! Tendering takes forever, you have to make it back to the ship an hour early to get through the cattle herd of people doing the same. There is absolutely nothing relaxing about this vacation except your room, and you best get one with a balcony because that's your only sanity.
It became very apparent to me as the week went on Carnival could care less about you/me, as they do the 'Ole dollar! They pay they're foreign help nothing so they can profit even more.
I wish I would have taken my family back to Hilton Head, this 'vacation' was more than disappointing.. I will never give Carnival another cent.
