Ship Facts: Carnival Fascination Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Fascination Deck Plans
Disappointing
My family and I have just returned from our 5 night cruise on Carnival Fascination. We had traveled on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian in the past and loved it! Our first time on Carnival was disappointing. We expected loads of fun on the "Fun Ship" but the Fascination did not deliver.

Good: The Waterworks Slides was fun for all ages.

The superb service by the room and dinning room attendants was exceeded my expectations. The 80's Show (the last show) was very good. The staff keeps the ship clean at all times.

OK: The food was bland but edible. We had to add salt and pepper on almost everything. The food on the buffet seems to never change. The pool was small and impossible to swim in when crowded. The game shows was corny but it was better to watch them than sitting around twiddling your thumbs! We had to beg the kids to go to the camps, when we sailed on Royal Caribbean they cried when we came to pick them up because they did not want to leave. They wasn't too fond of Camp Carnival. The clubs was OK if you enjoy laughing at dancing drunks!

Bad: Not enough "good" entertainment to keep you busy, yes they offered events throughout the day, but participating in a bean bag toss or shuffle board contests or playing in the casino all night and getting drunk is not my type of fun. We found ourselves and plenty of others just sitting around in boredom. We had to leave JAX 2hrs late due to engine problems. Key West was shorten 30mins and Nassau 2hrs. We also returned back to JAX early which was good because the ship rocked so bad on Friday many people became .

Overall: I would not sail on this ship again and if you like to have lots of fun and have plenty of "good" options for entertainment, this is not the ship for you. But if you like to relax, relax, and relax....this is a good ship! Carnival needs to offer more for cruisers on "Sea Days" or just eliminate them all together!
