We stayed at the Westin Bayshore pre-cruise. The property is fantastic. Our room had lovely views of the mountains and bay.

Our VS suite was lovely and spacious. The covered double balcony was perfect for Alaska, as there is always something to see! Had a great view from bed.

Sailing out of Vancouver we watched a sailing regatta with beautiful boats using colorful spinnakers. Behind this were majestic mountains! What a wonderful sight.

Our day at Ketchikan was perfect. The weather was sunny and warm. We took the West End walking tour and saw four eagles. Also walked the downtown tour to Cape Fox Hill by way of the funicular and hiked down Married Man's Trail.

When we arrived in Juneau the weather was not so good, cold and rain. We went up the Mt. Rogers tram and then took the bus to Mendenhall Glacier. Stopped by the Red Dog Salon on way back to ship. Even in bad weather all was SO beautiful!

Skagway also had rain and cold weather. We More went to the Yukon with Chilkoot tours on a wonderful small van. Our guide Mike grew up in the area and was very knowledgeable. He did a great job. As we traveled toward the Yukon, the weather improved. Emerald Lake is beautiful and not to be missed! After Emerald Lake we visited a dog musher camp and had lunch.

Glacier Bay and College Fjhord were extraordinary, even in a little rain!

As we prepared to leave the ship in Whittier, the weather was very windy, cold and rainy. Our guide from Katie from Salmon Berry tours picked up and said the weather would improve after we went through the tunnel and she was correct!
We were led on a fantastic hike in the snow, rode the tram to the top of Alyska, visited a wildlife rehabilitation center and much more!Katie was so knowledgeable and made sure we had a wonderful day. She took us to the airport for out trip home.

You will love the trip to Alaska, do not worry about the weather. Less
