This was our first cruise with NCL and possibly our last. We have cruised the Med on previous occasions but using smaller ships than the Norwegian Epic.
I should firstly mention the positives; The accommodation, the staff, the restaurants/dining and food were all excellent. The Itinerary was really good with goodly amounts of time allocated for ashore excursions.
The ship was huge but deck space was really limited to Deck 15 which was dominated by the daily "entertainment". otherwise we were hard pressed to find a space in the quieter areas.
The Public inner decks were dominated by Gaming Machines and for want of a better description, a Casino Mall.
There was little [if any] visibility of the sea, some may prefer this, but I enjoy being on a ship and found it claustrophobic.
The really disappointing part of the trip was to do with customer care. For example, the ship berthed 3 miles from the town centre in Marseilles and they were charging $20 per person for the privilege of using the courtesy bus,we took a taxi.
On booking our cruise we elected to have NCL arrange our flights, this was a big mistake. On disembarkation day the the transfer [30 Min's] to Barcelona Airport was arranged for us to disembark at 7.00am. for a flight leaving at 12.45pm We were left twiddling our thumbs for more than five hours at the airport, luckily the flight was not delayed.
We will revert back to a smaller ship for our next cruise, and enjoy once again, proper customer services.
