The ports of call were most excellent and can't say that for the Epic. The staterooms are the smallest we have ever been for 7 cruises on different ships. I could not get past my wife when she was standing at the sink and we and not robust people. I started climbing on the bed to get around her from one of the room to the other.

Free style dining is not so free when there are requirements for the main dining room that the staff does not enforce. The requirement is a collared shirt for men and I saw many wearing tee shirts to dinner. Be prepared for eating elsewhere if you want to "freestyle" dine. We went to three shows and 2 of the 3 were very good, blue Man and the Circus dinner. The Los Lobos show was so stupid it was not funny. Lots of not funny repetition. The lounge that show is in is not conducive for shows so don't waste your time.

You can only pre cruise book 4 items and then book on board. The ship uses the TV to book shows and of course the additional dining areas. The buffet had sporadic times and it was not open past 8:30 P.M. You have to settle for a burger, fish and fries, or a hot dog in a 24 hour "pub". Be prepared to have to pay for everything and of course there is a push to leave as much money as possible with NCL. There are only 2 sets of stairs and lifts forward and aft, no midship stairway or lift. Our cabin was mid-ship so we had to always go forward or aft to go up or down. Would we go back to Norwegian? Sure, only after we go back to Princess for a cruise or two.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

A nice large balcony and be prepared to squeeze into the cabin. They took room away space from the cabin to use it for the balcony. The cabins are not very sound proof. We heard people walking around in the room above. These are the smallest cabins we have ever been in. There is only a forward and aft set of stairs, none mid-ship. They eliminated a stairway to get in more cabins.
