First time cruise

Sail Date: May 2012
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Other

we chose this as a treat for our 40th anniversary we wernt dissapointed its a three star hotel on the sea.. the cabins are compact and need updating but our steward nilesh kept it immaculate coming in several times a day to tidy up make beds etc and surprise is with animals made from towels each day..if you spend thousands youd expect more but this cruise reflected the amount we paid,,, the food was excellent and cleanliness paramount with sanitisors everywhere,, tip take your own to apply just before you pick up your knife and fork,, there was food poisoning whilst we were there but that was down to holiday makers not the staff
the entertainment in all areas of the ship was fantastic, and all the crew were polite and extremely helpfull the organisation was brilliant for all the trips etc you went to bed each evening and awoke in a different port each day ,, we didnt experience bad weather at sea so hardly noticed the ship moving,,,it was difficult to get a sun bed each day More but we embarked at ports and used the beaches to sun bath if we wernt on a trip or shopping for shoes,,(she only had three pairs this time)

dress up if you want for ala carte but this is a casual ship but most folks made an effort,,there are no kettles (h&safety fire risk ??) and you arnt allowed to have one because room service supplies you with tea etc however we cheated and took ours and hid it away when not in use Less
