My husband and I flew from Atlanta to Tampa for this cruise and this is our 3rd cruise, all have been on Carnival. We stayed overnight at the Tahitian Inn. Great little hotel with very nice pool with tahitian atmosphere, bar, and restaurant at very reasonable price and very clean. Hotel shuttle picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite for no reason upon arrival and the staff was very friendly. Chick-fil-A and Burger King are right next door and you can walk there through the parking lot. Very safe area off of a main highway. Maybe 5 minute ride from the airport.

The next morning we were on the 9:00am shuttle to the cruise port. After a 5 minute ride, we were dropped off curbside and right at the door to start embarkation. We had to wait about an hour to go in as they were still debarking passengers from the previous cruise. After about an hour and a half were were one of the first on the ship after the two wedding parties boarded and the special assistance passengers. Very easy embarkation and walking distance for my husband who is disabled and has difficulty walking long distances. Once on the ship we proceeded to the lido deck for lunch and a drink.

Cabins were ready at 1:00 and we went to check out our room. Had cabin 4148, interior cabin (although not really interior) obstructed view french door. Had a great view between two lifeboats. Both doors open, but the left door is obstructed by the bed and will not open all the way. The right door will open all the way and you can prop it open with the corner of the mattress. Very nice view on portside, nice breeze and feel of the ocean for an interior room rate. Would book this room again. Cabin steward was wonderful and always kept our room clean and ice filled. Didn't see him very much, but when we did he was very friendly.
