Sail Date: May 2012
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Barcelona

We stayed in Barcelona for 2 days and what a beautiful city . we stayed at the Barcelona Universal Hotel and it was super . close to everything, nice big rooms and close to the ship .
Getting on the ship was fast and easy . we had to wait a while for our room but waiting at the pool with a drink was a good start to a beautiful cruise . i should say we were able to book the speciality restaurant and buy our wine before we got on the ship . they said 2 bottles per person so we did. twice ?
we were on deck 7 . very nice room / lots of storage . don't forget above the bed.
have to say that for a big ship although it was full it never seemed to be crowded . several times at the ocean view cafe it was hard to find a table where there was not someone sitting but with empty chairs so we would ask to join someone and we were never turned down got to meet lots of people from all around the world .
For dining we had the early sitting at 615 pm . our servers both More Yvonne's were great . we sat with five other people who's company we really enjoyed. table was a tad small for seven but the food was fantastic. there was not a night that there was not something very interesting . i love seafood and it was not disappointing ever . i ate the lamb shank one night with a lobster tail . very enjoyable.
the speciality Restaurant were really great but unless you wanted a little more ambiance the food at the main dining room was hard to beat . you had a few more choices at the restaurants.
The shore excursions were a bit pricey but the ones we did go on at the end of the day i though were well worth it . was not disappointed at all .
all the ports we visited were very interesting .
at the end of the cruise which came way to soon it was the best cruise ever and can't wait to go next year hopefully .
getting of the ship was as nice as getting on . very well organized. thank you Celebrity . Less
