My husband and I started our cruise out of Vancover which the city was beautiful. The port however was not so good,We had to stand in line for around 3 hours since they dont have enough employees for the security. And by the time we got on the ship they shut down the restaurants to do the security drill which not everyone did anyway since not everyone had boarded,so they ended up doing 2 more drills later on,

The jewel however is a very nice ship and the staff was wonderful. The rooms need a little updating but everythingelse was nice,They have such a great variety of restaurants,We ate in Cagneys steakhouse,Le Bistro,Mamas and the tempanaki steak house,They were all wonderful,There is a cover charge but very minamal compared to how much you would spend if you ate out at a nice restaurant,It seems they put there emphasis on the specialty restaurants since the main dining room was just ok. The crew and staff were exceptional,

The ports were wonderful,Highly recommend the ziplinning in Juneau,It was so beautiful there and so much fun,We also found a crab stand in Juneau that had the best crab rolls,Very good, In Skagway take the train up the mountain,It is very scenic and beautiful,We saw a black bear on the left side coming down like it was waiting for us to come by, We did the Misty Fjords explorer tour which it was cold but it was so beautiful and saw a whale,eagle and a black bear,They gave us salmon on crackers and a choice of chili or chowder which was very good, In Victoria we saw the Butchard Gardens which was very beautiful,I highly recommend this,It is so clean in Victoria.
