Embarkation and First two days Boarding the Ship was a breeze, As CC members and also Concierge Class for this sailing we went to a separate waiting section. We had already pre-filled out the required paperwork, (credit card numbers for our shipboard purchases etc.) had passports and credit card in hand and were literally the first ones to board the ship. We were greeted along the walk to the ship by the very friendly celebrity staff the cruise line is known for. Once on board we received a complimentary glass of Champaign and went directly to the Aqua Spa to book our appointments. We were second time cruisers on the Millennium having sailed on her inaugural cruise itinerary 5 years ago so we skipped some of the exploration of the ship. After booking our spa appointments, we found a place on a lounge chair on the pool deck and people watched. (Next time we will wear our bathing suits under our clothes.)

We had a bite to eat once the lunch buffet opened and waited for the announcement allowing us to proceed to our stateroom. Our luggage arrived within 15 minutes of entering our stateroom and after checking out the C-class amenities, and the view from the veranda, we unpacked everything and set off to explore. After reading in some of the threads that the condition of the Millennium had declined since the first year we sailed on her, we went about to see for ourselves. We found that this ship was in excellent shape. While some of the chairs in the lounges, and the celebrity theater showed some wear and tear, the carpets and overall cleanliness of the ship was outstanding. We ALWAYS saw staff, cleaning rails, windows, cleaning the decks etc. Our stateroom #8094 was also in great shape. We did however notice dust around the TV table and attributed this solely to our stateroom attendant, Elsa, who, we complained about due to her lack of attention to detail. (not replenishing flowers when they had wilted and drooped, not cleaning the vanity/desk, having to request soap and lotion when needing replenishment or delivering our canapEs (we substitute cheese and crackers since the canapEs were terrible) at the time we requested each evening. We also had a bottle of wine on the counter and on the previous cruise the stateroom attendant would have provided an ice bucket. Elsa did not take notice.

We had to also request additional towels since she could not seem to keep them replenished beyond the morning clean or the evening turn down. We did seem to get better service from our asst. stateroom attendant who we felt should have been promoted to Elsa's position. Another negative note is that for C-class we were supposed to get nicer towels and we received worn, stained, rough towels. Our tablemates also in the C-class complained about the same thing.
