First time NCL cruiser. We prefer the anytime dining so that was fine. LOVED Venice-would go back in a flash. Embarkation is a bit chaotic-the people mover not going to the terminal directly would be tough in the rain I would think.
*Cabin was fine, spacious, this particular one has a partial overhang so we could get some sun. Most have a full overhang.
*Main dining room food. Very tasty, service better in Alizar than the Grand Pacific.
*Crew-outstanding-best part of NCL we thought. Excellent cabin steward Emmanuel.
*Mykonos-lovely port. Great to walk around.
*Missed Santorini due to "bad" weather. Very disappointing-we were told that we couldn't tender because cable car wasn't running. You could see it going up and down from the ship! There were 5 other ships there and they were tendering. It was very strange. Weather was beautiful, small whitecaps, but nothing major. Maybe bad weather in the forecast? Big damper on the cruise.
*Buffet food-not much changed ever, lack of drink choices. Crowded.
*Weather overall-so windy that they couldn't open up the deck area above pool.
*Decor of the ship-it's a ship that was originally built for Hawaii and maybe they think they're going back there some day because it has Aloha stuff all over which is very strange for a European based ship.
It just wasn't a "fit" for us. Too casual perhaps. Which we knew going in but it had the best itinerary for our needs and so we went with it. Again, their crew made the cruise-friendliest ones we have ever seen.
