my husband and i have just returned from a week spent on the fantasia, i must start by saying that because some reviews about this ship are somewhat uncomplimentary i had slight concerns about what to expect but i am one to never have preconceived ideas unless i have tried something myself, im glad we tried because i can honestly say we have spent a fabulous week on the fantasia from the easy as pie 10 minute embarkation to seeing inside this glamorous boat and i defy anyone to find a more clean ship, it is spotless, we found the food wonderful with so much choice, we took the formal dining option most nights as it was lovely and i think most people with children chose the buffet which again was lovely but the choice is there for what you may prefer, i never encountered any pushing in i might add, as in some other peoples experiences. the staff were very professional and always courteous and we had friendly chats with quite a few they all work very hard and we were more than happy with the services in all areas. we absolutely would sail with msc again it was a wonderful experience different to the royal carribean liberty of the seas which we took last year but more reasonably priced so great value for money and we were fortunate enough to meet some lovely fellow passengers who made our holiday a very happy one, so thanks for the memories msc and we shall see you next year.

Port
the bus from the port is about 1.5km walk which is well marked on a walking route on the ground within the port from there it is 3 euros return trip otherwise if you don't want to walk the msc bus or a taxi will be there to take you, you have a choice of buses the metro or a tram to choose from for your own explorations we took a walk from the base of the notre dam to the top which is tough going but well worth it for the stunning views of marseille or the tourist train will take you to the top!
Port
a short walk from the port leads you to the main road were we took a couple of tourist buses around the town and the bay which were a good way of taking naples in in a short space of time

Port
again a short walk from the boat leads to an area where you can catch a horse drawn carriage around the town or a tourist bus which does the same

we again did our own thing in tunisia as it is so much cheaper and perfectly safe in my opion, we went to the port exit and from there in the port side taxi office booked a trip to the three main tourist spots with a driver whom waits for you at the drop off points whilst you explore at your leisure we explored carthage , sidi bou said and then shopped in the medina in tunis it took us 4 hours on the entire trip and cost us 60.00 euro compared to 200.00 euros with msc
