The Orion experience is extraordinary. The cabins are spacious and well furnished.Every aspect of cruising on Orion is exceptional. From the ever present crew who guide and help with the zodiac expeditions to the expedition leaders themselves who fascinate and educate the passengers about the wildlife and culture of the isolated destinations.Upon our return to the boat, we were always welcomed aboard with refreshments before having a constant succession of gastronomic experiences.Every day was different and the crew were always flexible and available, making every effort to accommodate out needs. And always with a smile.
Orion had only 100 passengers with 75 crew so the ship was always clean and well maintained.
The Orion expedition begins long before passenger boarding with the expedition management constantly searching for and assessing new destinations by drawing on their personal contacts and friendships with remote islanders. This in turn gives the cruise passenger a unique experience which cannot be duplicated by larger cruise ships.
The attention to detail on Orion is unbelievable, from the talented on board entertainment duo to the frequent presentations by naturalists..I was learning so much each day.Fascinating!!!
After 18 days on board Orion, I could have easily stayed another 18!!!
The shared experiences that our cruise had with the indigenous islanders were truly unique. So much so that I would not hesitate to take any Orion cruise to any of their varied destinations.
