Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review by George Gibbs

the free style cruising is great there were many choices of restaurant's to eat in the a la carte food was available at all times we didn't have to sit at the same table every evening everything was a feeling of easy going we made so many friends dress was optional most people dressed smart for dinner the shows were fantastic the air conditioning was mild we have been on other cruises were the air conditioning was freezing and some passengers caught colds even Pneumonia

we had a very comfortable state room with a balcony the bed was really comfortable the bathroom facilities were good although the toilet compartment was a little small and the Television was old fashioned most of the crew were Filipino's they were really friendly and always in a happy mood and so helpful there were also Australian, Mexican, American,and other Nationals

in the entertainment department the atmosphere was great right from the moment we walked on board ship every body was so friendly we really felt at home and at ease

the only criticism I have is about the floors on the deck at the entrances to the ship which were all slopping and very slippery when wet several people slipped over including me when it started to rain when going through Panama canalthe strange thing is all the flat decks have none slip surfaces while all the sloping areas have shiny smooth surfaces


the Ships designers or architects should have worked that one out a change is necessary before a passenger slips and breaks a body part especially as the majority of the passengers on this cruise were over 50 and 60 many even older apart from that Norwegian line cruising is my favorite
