Rhine River Cruise

Sail Date: April 2012
Destination: Europe - River Cruise
Embarkation: Other

Left St Pancras on Eurostar was surprised we were not booked with other Viking passengers as only 6 of us and had been given the impression we would be together not even in same carriage so didn't meet up until Paris.
Also were not always seated with our partners, when coming home there were lots of empty seats so the train staff offered to move us. Otherwise journey easy and pleasant

Cruise was great couldn't fault it
Organisation was carried out in a friendly and efficient manner the Programme Director had her finger on the button all the time
Rooms spotless and kept well throughout in an unobtrusive way
Food excellent at all times and waiters polite and helpful in friendly way
Relaxed dining worked well and enabled you to sit and get to know lots of different people who were all very friendly. We were surprised there were so many Americans

Excursions well organised as well as time to look around on your own
Leaving the ship at end of cruise More was carried out like a military operation and no hitches
Met some nice people and my husband enjoyed the whole experience and he's not one for holidays but he can be critical. It was a special for him as he is 80 next month
Would love to do another trip but I'll have to use my powers of persuasion.

Would recommend Viking to anyone Less

Cabin review: Viking Helvetia 224

Comfortable, plenty storage space no problems

Port and Shore Excursions

This was the end of our trip no other ports listed but all ports were near to or in the towns and cities so very convenient especially Koblenz and Cologne
