Check in was swift and painless,we arrived at our balcony cabin along with our luggage. We found the cabin to be spacious and in good order and the balcony to be of a good size.We appreciated being able to bring a bottle of gin and brandy onboard for pre dinner drinks and a night cap, although the drinks in the bars and wine in the restaraunt were of British pub prices. Our last cruise was with Royal Carribean, their drinks prices were very expensive.
Breakfast was taken in the buffet self service restaraunt, the choice was excellent,no complaints from us.Lunch we tended to take by the pool, and dinner in the Meridian silver service restaraunt. The service and choice here was very good and nice to see guests making an effort adhering to the dress code[unlike RCI]
We visited the Palladium theatre to see Bobby Crush and watched a few shows by the theatre company all very enjoyable.
My favourite was the British sailaway from Cadiz, great fun, well done entertainment team, everyone was up and going for it.
The crows nest was agood venue for drinks after the theatre although my husband quite liked the casino,
There were alot of elderly people on board, but i say well done to them for making the effort to go on holiday and dressing up so spledidly.
All in all it was a very good experience, the only down side was the weather on the last two sea days,I thought it would have been warmer. We would definately use Arcadia again.
